Jenny Rodriguez’s passion for making jewelry started at a young age with little bracelet kits she received as presents. Over the years, her skills have evolved into metalwork and beading, and she’s turned her hobby into a company, Pure Life Jewelry. “Eventually as I grew my business, I wanted to learn unique ways to make jewelry so I started taking classes in metalworking,” she says. Rodriguez first opened her studio in Mesa, but moved to Tempe in November 2018 to expand her business to new customers. She hopes to empower women to take the road less traveled with her simple yet elegant designs. “It’s not really just making jewelry, it’s about making meaningful pieces and creating quality jewelry someone can give to their friends or loved ones,” she says. Combining jewelry-making and her love for the outdoors, Rodriguez’s pieces tell a story with symbols such as copper or silver bands depicting a gentle wave, or beads of turquoise representing a crescent moon.
